Today i wanted to share with you the little rituals i’ve adopted over the years to make the transition from Winter to Spring into my home…
Make a deep Spring cleanup || I often start with the windows and curtains to let the sun shine in a bit better and then it’s on for the rest of the apartment! Although to be honest, as i’m a bit of a cleaning maniac, i do that kind of cleanup quite often in a year… but that one is special!
Change the pillow cases & blankets || I have several sets of “couch wear” and i do like to switch them up quite often, in Spring i generally go for pastel colors and flowers and for Summer i’m planning to go for yellow and tropical prints, really exciting!
Add plants & flowers everywhere || Hum, does this needs an explanation? 😉 (follow me on Instagram to see all the beauties i add weekly to my home!)
Store my Winter clothes & bring out my Spring/Summer wardrobe || As i live in Paris i tend to leave this part until quite late, usually after at least 2/3 weeks of “steady” seasonal weather, don’t want to have to dig my coats out if needed. I also use that time to sort out my closet and sell or donate what i don’t want to keep. I do that at least 4 times a year, transitioning to a different season is usually the best moment as everything is supposed to be on hand.
Switch my beauty products || As the weathers changes, it’s usually a good idea to change your skincare and bodycare for something a bit lighter. Personally, even though my skin needs strong hydratation all year round, i do like to have something a tiny bit lighter for the warm seasons. Same thing goes for my body, i switch from strong butter to a bit lighter creams and milks
Make or buy new fragrances candles || I adore making my own candles perfumed with essential oils (i’m planning on sharing a DIY with you don’t worry) and i have a nice little oils selection for each season and i’m kinda late this year so i really need to scratch that off my do-to list asap!
I think that’s about all friends! How about you, do you do anything special to get your home in a seasonal mood? Let me know what is your little routine i’d love to know!
Love

April 4, 2017 at 17:40Aw, I feel this so much! I get so much happier and more positive during spring, and part of that is the change in weather, but also the change in my daily life with things like this. I want to get some fresh flowers now 🙂 Also spring cleaning can feel so satisfying. Great post!
