I’ve been attracted to the brand Pixi Beauty for a long time and even though i honestly think it’s mainly because of their gorgeous branding and packaging (and they’re also Cruelty Free), i actually was very curious about the quality of the products themselves. So now that i was finally able to get my hands on several items (thank you for delivering in France Cult Beauty!) i wanted to do this sort of mini brand overview of both skincare and makeup items that i purchased…
24K EYE ELIXIR || Well to be honest that one is a fail but not because of it’s quality… This was a gift with purchase, that i was so happy about because it’s actually quite generous in my opinion, but the problem is that it’s a roll on product and the roll part doesn’t work. Like it doesn’t roll, so to this day i stil haven’t been able to try it out. That is a huge bummer and i’m totally planning to buy an empty roll on container to be able to try this product that looks very cool to me, but i wanted to mention this little issue that i had with it (if you’ve tried it, please let me know in the comments if you liked it or not and why! 😉 )
VITAMIN WAKEUP MIST || I’m naturally attracted to products that claim to brightened and wakeup the skin since i tend to have dull and tired skin on most days (i live in a big city with lots of pollution as you may know so i bet that doesn’t help) and even though i can’t really sa that i’ve seen a major difference with this mist, i love using it and i love how it feels on the skin in the morning, very fresh and confortable. Maybe i need to use it for a little while longer for more long term effects, and i’m totally going to because it’s something i enjoy using.
BEST OF BRIGHT KIT || Whenever i decide to try a new brand, i always look for kits like this with tiny travel/sample sizes to make my discovery adventure affordable and it’s not a big issue if i end up not liking a product or not being able to use it (hello allergies!). My favorite product of this kit is definitely the Glow Mud Cleanser which is very nice to use, smells lovely, is very gentle on my sensitive skin and definitely works to clear and diminishes my pores. I’m loving it and will purchase it again in full size for sure!
The Glow Mud Mask is also a nice product but pretty much a typical mud mask to me and i can use it only on my t-zone as it’s not great for dry skin. This one is not for my skin type but if you have a more normal to combo skin, i think it’s a lovely mask to try!
Now for this famous Glow Tonic, i’ve heard so many great things about it that i really wanted to try it out and honestly, i don’t really feel like it’s doing much for my skin so far but i definitely use it at least for pleasure because it is a very nice product. I love using it after a clearing mask (like the ones i mentioned in this post) to refresh and soothe my skin and i think i’m going to keep using it for a while and see if my skin changes in any way with it so i’ll keep you updated on that!
MESMERIZING MINERAL PALETTE IN OPAL GLOW || Can we just stop for a second and all agree that these colors are just perfection for Spring?! Alright, now that it’s done, i have to admit i’m not 100% happy about this palette… Yes the colors are beautiful, but they’re so freaking powdery (like i don’t just dab my brush i actually blow on it to make sure i won’t have a ton of fall out…) and a quite a bit patchy. I’m gonna keep trying to make them work and if i can, i’ll totally get back to you because i know i can make them perform a bit better and enjoy these gorgeous colors to the fullest for Spring and Summer! 😉 #tobecontinued…
LASH NOURISH MAKE UP REMOVER PADS || Unfortunately these pads didn’t make the cut for me because i’ve used them several times and the conclusion is that they burn and irritate my eyes like crazy. They do remove makeup but they’re not great to be honest, (and i don’t even wear waterproof mascara) but i can’t use them two days in a row or else i’ll end up with big red scratchy eyes for days… I do have very sensitive eyes to begin with i should say so they’re a definitely a pass for me.
Also i totally forgot to put it in these photos but i’m still a total fan of the Pixi Lower Lash Mascara that i reviewed in this previous post, and that i’m still using religiously!
Do you like the brand Pixi as well? What have you tried and what would you recommend for me to try next?!
