Hello Macramé!

So i know i very recently talked about my brand new addiction for modern weaving and i bet you didn’t expect for me to share another one so soon right?! But i guess i felt really inspired after starting weaving intensely and i just wanted to try something a bit similar and macrame totally felt right. And again, it seems like i can’t do something creative and not become obsessed with it!  Since i’m only starting out, so far i’ve simply been following tutorials on Youtube and mainly Chelsea Sadler’s videos. She creates really gorgeous pieces and explain things quite well so i actually just finished a big headboard for our bedroom following this tutorial that she made. I’ll share a dedicated post soon on that project because i’m thrilled with the result and i’m currently adding decorations and fairy lights to make our little bed area ready for the holidays… Stay tuned for that! 😉

Honestly macrame is even easier and cheaper than weaving, basically the only things you need are some rope of your choice, a pair of scissors and a wooden stick that you can find in a park or your garden, and you’re good to go! If you ever considered trying it out, go ahead, you won’t be sorry and it won’t cost you much at all. Once again i can’t believe how easy and relaxing it is! I definitely think getting creative and making things with my hands is something vital to my happiness, i realize that now and i can’t wait to add new creative addiction to my collection!

I’ve actually always wanted to try this! I love being crafty, but I’m not actually crafty (if that makes any sense haha). This might just be the inspiration I need to give it a try, though. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Hi Andrea! Thanks for your comment! You totally make sense don’t worry, but i promise you, Macrame is super easy, it’s basically making knots over and over, once you know how to make it, you keep on repeating, super simple! Let me know if you give it a try! xo
