Now that the cold season is officially here, i know that a lot more people will say that they rather spend more time at home but for me it’s definitely a year round thing… I’m a total homebody and i have been for many many year, and it’s only now that i’m finally fully owning that part of my personally.
I don’t know if that’s a thing, but i recently realized that i am what i like to call a cold-weather-reader. I’m really not sure why but every year i find that i practically stop reading during Spring and Summer, and then get back on reading a book per week when the weather gets colder and the night comes earlier. Maybe it’s the cosiness of this season that puts me in the perfect mood to dive into a good book… I turn the lights on, make myself a vanilla chaï tea, grab a blanket and a book, and i’m gone!
You know by now how much i love Autumn (especially since i can’t seem to stop rambling about it, i know… #sorrynotsorry!), so today i just wanted to share with you the little things i did this year to transition our home into this wonderful season! It’s weird how happy it makes me actually… The day i shot these photos kinda started as a bad day, i had a horrible migraine and was in a pretty bad mood, but the second i was done decorating and was getting ready to take these photos, i was all smiling and excited like a kid on Christmas morning!
Unfortunately, i’m the kind of person that often wakes up anxious and for the longest time, i purposely didn’t want to create myself a morning routine. Basically, waking up was a hassle and i wanted to quickly start the day and move on, you know? But back in January when i decided to pursue a happier and healthier lifestyle, i decided to give happy mornings a try!
It’s finally here, my favorite season of the year!! For a long time i thought Summer was my fave but i recently realized that Autumn was the only season i was actually craving at some point like around mid Summer, i was already looking forward Autumn and to me it’s a sign! Also i was born in Autumn, i can’t live without a blanket on my lap and i love lighting candles and drinking hot tea when the clock hit 5pm so, i’m living the best life this time of year!
